   I'm so glad that you got those drainage tubes out and are well enough to visit with the folks. I hope you had a lovely time and yummy food! Did your surgery live up to your expectations or are you well enough to tell yet?
   
   I'm doing okay, thanks! Wish my back would get better faster, but doc says I'm progessing as he expected, so that makes me feel a little bit better, but still... it's frustrating to not be able to do even the smallest moves for myself. Thanks for asking!
   
   We are getting together with my cousin and his gf for the holidays this evening. It's been years since we had family actually living this close and not thousands of miles away. It's been super nice to see him so often, especially on special occasions like holidays. My mother's only sister and only sibling's son. My mother's sister died a number of years ago, so Mark and mom are doing some bonding and so are Mark and I.
